Summary Promise: PDF Studio does not store, view, or retain copies of your documents. Document processing runs locally in your device's browser memory.

1. In-Browser Client-Side Processing

Unlike traditional online PDF converters that transmit files to remote cloud servers, PDF Studio executes document operations (merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, watermarking, password encryption, and formatting) locally inside your web browser using WebAssembly and client-side JavaScript.

Your sensitive contracts, financial records, tax forms, and photos never leave your device during standard tool operations.

2. File Deletion & Retention Policy

Because files are handled directly within browser RAM:

Permanent Server Storage: 0 Bytes. No documents are saved in server file systems or MySQL databases.
Active Buffer Lifetime: Data exists temporarily in browser memory while your tab is open.
Automated Purge: When you close the browser tab, refresh the page, or click "Start Over", all file buffers are permanently destroyed.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum technical data necessary to maintain system security and functionality:

User Accounts: If you register, we store your name, email address, and an encrypted password hash generated via PHP's native password_hash(). We never store plain-text passwords.
Aggregated Counters: Anonymous numeric counters (such as total operations performed) are tracked without linking to file contents or personal identities.
Server Logs: Standard HTTP request headers (IP address, browser type, timestamp) used strictly for DDoS mitigation and server reliability.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential browser cookies and HTML5 IndexedDB strictly for platform operation:

Session Cookies: Keep you logged in securely and protect form submissions against CSRF attacks.
IndexedDB Storage: Used solely to pass temporary file buffers across pages (e.g., from the homepage auto-uploader to a tool workspace) without uploading to the server.

5. Advertising & Google AdSense

To keep all tools free for everyone, PDF Studio displays advertisements served by partners including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. Users can manage or opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings.
