Printing passport photos one by one at commercial studios can become expensive, especially during school admissions or job application seasons when multiple family members require passport and stamp copies. Arranging multiple photos onto standard photo paper saves significant time and cost.
Standard Photo Dimensions: Passport vs. Stamp Size
- Passport Size (Bangladesh standard): Commonly 45 × 35 mm or 50 × 50 mm (2 × 2 inches for visa applications).
- Stamp Size: Approximately 25 × 20 mm, widely used for school admission slips, library cards, and internal department forms.
Choosing the Right Paper Size: 4R vs. A4
Depending on your printer or photo lab preference, two paper formats are standard:
- 4R Photo Paper (4 × 6 inches / 102 × 152 mm): The most economical format for digital photo printers. A single 4R sheet comfortably accommodates a grid of 4, 6, or 8 passport photos.
- A4 Document Paper (210 × 297 mm): Ideal for home inkjet or laser printers, accommodating up to 20 passport photos or mixed rows of passport and stamp photos.
